Multimedia students present movies, advertisements, storybooks, posters, CD covers, websites and much much more in Room 108 (Mac Lab). Software used includes Final Cut Pro, Director, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and Image Ready. Feel free to sit at a Mac and view the exciting creations.
Art, Craft & Design
Art, Craft & Design students display a range of work from Painting, Sculpture, Drawing and Printmaking. This is an invitation to the public to see the different minds, talents and imaginations used in the creative process by students when creating art. Enjoy.
CAD - Architectural Technology- Interior Design
As you wander through room 112 you will see the CAD student designs on exhibit, along with creations from Architectural Technology. This is an array of work studied throughout the academic year; high quaility 2D drawings, virtual reality scenes and photorealistic renderings.
Also on display are skilled architectural hand drawings used as a means of communicating ideas, concepts and details in an architectural discipline. Students innovatively and creatively designed and architecturally modeled a gymnasium and fitness centre for Cavan Institute.
The Interio Design students exhibit work based on both private and public sector areas, ranging from domestic designs to hotel foyers.
Furniture Design
This year's Furniture Design class is displaying a selection of their individually designed pedestal tables, mirrors and other finely crafted items. Their pieces reflect the energy and intensity that the class group has shown in their efforts during the past year.
Fashion Design
Fashion Design students present ideas, designs and creations that take their inspiration from the past, the present and visions of the future. From recycled denim ball gowns themed 'Urban Showtime', embellished 'Fantasia' corsets, to embroidered and bejewelled floral head pieces, they hope to inspire creativity in new audiences.
Floristry
The Floristry students will demonstrate their ability to design and create interior planted displays suitable for any office or business environment, providing creative alternatives to the traditional floral display.
