In the 2011/2012 programme we hope that you will find a course appropriate to your needs, be it professional, academic or recreational. By selecting to study at Cavan Institute you are making a significant first step towards gaining a recognized qualification or skill. In line with our commitment to the provision of a quality learning environment the majority of courses are accredited by leading awarding bodies. These accredited courses give learners a clear indication of the quality of courses offered at Cavan Institute on a part-time basis.
As a provider of quality assurance courses Cavan Institute has valued links with Higher Education providers - NUI Maynooth, University of Ulster, Athlone Institute of Technology and the Institute of Public Administration thus giving the learner maximum opportunity to study to an advanced level within the region. Courses on offer range from Degree programmes in Business Management and Public Management to National Certificate programmes provided by FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council), in a variety of disciplines.
Many courses on offer are certified by FETAC and at the end of each module the student is awarded a Component Certificate. This provides the ideal platform for learners to accumulate Component Certificates and ultimately graduate with a FETAC full award. Learners can use their FETAC certification as a means to access, progress and/or transfer to a wide variety of courses throughout the country. FETAC certification is recognised by employers both nationally and
internationally.
I hope you will find a course that encourages your interest and meets your learning requirements. I welcome your feedback on the 2011/2012 programme and your suggestions for further courses. I wish you well with your course selection and look forward to receiving your application.
