Course Description
This course is aimed at students who are interested in pursuing a career as a professional accountant. The key attribute the marketplace now seeks in a professional accountant is the ability to influence business at a strategic level. This course is tailored to meet that need. The CPA Syllabus balances an appropriate emphasis on strategy, ethics and governance with the fundamental components of auditing, taxation, finance and performance reporting.

Registration Details and Exemptions
All students should register with CPA as well as Cavan Institute. To register with the CPA visit www.studycpa.ie for more information. Exemptions from some of the CPA examinations may be granted to students who have already passed equivalent examinations. These are granted on a subject-for-subject basis. Entry Requirements
Graduates of the accounting technician course and other related courses are eligible to apply. Such applicants should check with the CPA for exemptions. Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet these entry requirements.
