Through compiling an extensive portfolio as part of this level 6 course, the student will enhance their application to further and higher education. A visual portfolio and the content and context that a level 6 programme provides can demonstrate design exploration directly relevant to the programme they wish to apply for. In such cases, it is possible to gain module exemptions and/or entry to an advanced stage of a degree programme.
Jobs available to graduates of this course are diverse and include a range of occupations in 3D design, visual communication, user interface (UI) design, graphic design, architectural design practices and organisations, craft specialists, local authorities, specialist design offices, media, product design and furniture design. Students will develop a competitive edge by producing a portfolio of creative designs that are production ready.
