Entry Requirements
QQI Level 5 Award in Security Studies (or Equivalent). Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet this entry requirement but can demonstrate industry experience.
Further Study
Graduates are eligible to apply through the CAO and/or the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to a range of higher certificate and degree programmes at Institutes of Technology and Universities (please check with the particular institution regarding local eligibility requirements).
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this course in Security Operations and Administration (Supervisory) have found employment in the private security industry, with the Prison Service, the Defence Forces or progressed to training with An Garda Síochána. About This Course
This course is of particular relevance to students who are interested in a career at management level in the security industry. As part of the Security Operations and Administration (Supervisory) course, students complete an extended period of work placement in a supervisory capacity with recognised companies.
