Entry Requirements

QQI Level 5 Award in Security Studies (or Equivalent). Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet this entry requirement but can dem­onstrate industry experience.

Further Study

Graduates are eligible to apply through the CAO and/or the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to a range of higher certificate and degree pro­grammes at Institutes of Tech­nology and Universities (please check with the particular institu­tion regarding local eligibility requirements).

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this course in Security Operations and Administration (Supervisory) have found employment in the private security industry, with the Prison Service, the Defence Forces or progressed to training with An Garda Síochána. Graduates will also have acquired the skills to work in a range of contexts including facilities management, event management and hos­pitality. About This Course

This course is of par­ticular relevance to students who are interested in a career at management level in the security industry.
