Theatre Performance is a practical course designed to help students' understanding and appreciation of drama and theatre studies.
As part of their studies, students will get the opportunity to visit and work in a professional theatre. The nature of the course is such that it allows students to develop their life skills while enhancing their confidence and interpersonal abilities. The course in Theatre Performance deals with all general areas of drama, including ensemble performance and studio practice. Theatre performance is an obvious first choice for those intending to pursue a career in the theatre as well as being of enormous benefit to students looking at a career in a wider variety of settings.

Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP or QQI Level 4 Award. Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet these entry requirements.
Graduates of this course in Theatre Performance are eligible to apply through the CAO and/or the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to year one of a range of higher certificate and degree programmes at Institutes of Technology and Universities (please check with the particular institution regarding local eligibility requirements).
Graduates of this course in Theatre Performance will have the necessary skills to obtain work in a variety of areas including acting, theatre performance, event production, theatre for young audience, youth theatre and social care.
