Basic Carpentry Skills

This course in basic carpentry will provide you with the key skills required to complete some simple home DIY tasks. You’ll also learn the key health and safety points in relation to DIY and working with woodwork equipment. 

Throughout the eight weeks, you will use a variety of equipment typical to woodworking, including both hand and power tools, Marking out instruments, Hand Saws, Chisels, Mallets, Drills, Chop Saw and much more.

This course will teach you the skills while you work on a series of practical projects, for example, a chopping board, a shoe rack and a foot-stool. The course fee includes the cost of materials required to make the items you’ll be working on in class and taking home at the end of the course.
