Sports Scholarships at Cavan Institute

The Sports Scholarships Programme supports high performance sports men and women who have the talent and dedication to combine an academic course with excellence in sport. The programme is also open to students who do not want to compete in sporting activities but wish to get involved in running a club and have a proven track record of success in organising and developing club structures.

The Sports Scholarships Programme reflects the commitment of Cavan Institute to aspire to the highest standards possible.

Range of Sports
The programme awards sports scholarships to students across a wide range of sports including:
  • Gaelic Football
  • Camogie
  • Handball
  • Soccer
  • Boxing
  • Rugby
  • Equestrian
  • Swimming
  • All suggestions are taken on board. This list is not exclusive. 
Application Form 2020 2021

Eligibility
(i) Students who are currently competing at a high level in their chosen sports discipline and intend to
pursue a Full Time course of study at Cavan Institute or
(ii) Students who can demonstrate good leadership qualities and are prepared to get actively involved in running a Sports Club.

How to apply
Students who wish to be considered for a Sports Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year must send a completed Application Form 2020 2021 to:
