"I choose Cavan Institute because it was convenient to me and I had heard good reports about the college and tutors. During my second year at Cavan Institute, studying Early Childhood Care and Education Year 2 , I received great assistance and support from my tutors.
Work experience was very beneficial to me as it allowed me to gain an understanding of the work environment and what employers expect of their workers. I also learned about the day to day running of a childcare setting. As a result of my work experience, I have been given a full-time position in my work placement childcare setting.
I developed skills in assignment presentation as well as communication skills. Cavan Institute is a great learning environment, but there is also a good social aspect of it. There were numerous days in which events were arranged for us to attend e.g. Mental Health Awareness, Well Being etc."
