"Before the course started, I had no idea of what was to come but as soon as classes started, I realised I was in the right place.

The modules for this course were very beneficial; we got to learn about the development of children and what to expect from each age group. We learned how to prepare activities for infants and how they can be beneficial to their development.

During the year I also got a chance to take part in different courses and workshops. Cavan Institute provided all students with first aid, manual handling and the building communications workshop which better prepared us to work in the Early Years Sector.

When the year started, I was scared and did not think I was going to manage the course but everything was very manageable as the tutors helped, assisted and guided me throughout the whole course; making the experience more enjoyable and less stressful.

At Cavan Institute, people come in with a dream and leave with a career. Going to college in Ireland was something I have always wanted but did not think was possible. From the very high rates to the long list of documents required, this dream seemed very difficult to reach but Cavan Institute made this dream reachable."
