Kevin from Carlanstown, Co Meath studied year 1 and year 2 of the Hairdressing course at Cavan Institute.

"In the down turn in the economy, I found myself wanting to up-skill in the workplace, I had always had a keen interest in Hairdressing and decided that at 41 years of age, it was the time. Next for me was to find the right college and that was Cavan Institute.

Throughout the course I had fantastic mentoring, continuous assessment of my improving skills and was able to participate in an overseas student exchange programme.

Since finishing my studies I have kept full time employment in a job I love and I am in the process of opening a new business in the coming months.
