This week, a group of Cavan Institute students are setting off on an exciting Erasmus+ journey, travelling to Malta, Estonia, and Turin (Italy) to take part in three-week international work placements from 7th to 28th February (inclusive).
Students from Block A and Block D will gain valuable hands-on experience in a real workplace environment while proudly representing Cavan Institute abroad. These placements form part of the Erasmus+ Programme, which allows students to complete their mandatory work placement in Europe with full support from the Institute.
A Valuable International Experience
Erasmus+ offers students far more than work experience alone. It is a highly beneficial programme for Further Education and Training (FET) learners, supporting both personal and professional development. During their time abroad, students will:
Develop practical workplace skills in an international setting
Improve communication and intercultural awareness
Build confidence and independence
Gain insight into European work practices and cultures
Strengthen their CVs and future career prospects
Travel costs, accommodation, and living expenses are fully covered, allowing students to focus on making the most of this unique opportunity.
Looking Ahead
On completion of their placements, students will submit a report to Cavan Institute, which is forwarded to the European Union as part of the Erasmus+ Programme requirements.
We hope all students enjoy their time abroad, embrace the experience, and return home with new skills, fresh perspectives, and lasting memories. We look forward to welcoming them back and hearing all about their Erasmus+ journeys.
We wish every student the very best of luck as they embark on this rewarding international experience. 🌍✈️
