Cavan Institute was honoured to welcome Minister James Lawless, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, to our campus this week. The visit marked an important opportunity to highlight the impactful work taking place within our college and across the wider Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board region.

A Significant Visit for Further and Higher Education

Minister Lawless’ visit formed part of his wider engagement with CMETB and the North West region, including Monaghan and Donegal. His time at Cavan Institute allowed us to showcase our commitment to delivering high quality further and higher education programmes that support learners, industry and the broader community.

During the visit, the Minister was joined by several delegates and members of our Board of Management. Discussions centred on the opportunities available to students, the innovative developments happening within the college, and the ongoing challenges facing the education sector.

Staff were proud to demonstrate the range of courses, facilities, and initiatives that position Cavan Institute as a leading provider of education in the region.
