The Applications Portal for Uversity Scholarships for Adult Learners will open on 1st February, 2026.
Uversity is a registered charity that provides higher education scholarships to adult learners aged 23 and over who are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree for the first time.
Uversity understands that there are significant financial costs and sacrifices associated with pursuing a degree as a Mature Student.
Uversity provides two levels of financial support, €5,000 or €7,000 per annum for the duration of the chosen degree i.e. 3 or 4 years. Payments are made monthly over the course of the degree programme and are subject to continued academic registration and progression.
A Cavan Institute Success Story
We are proud to highlight a former Uversity scholarship recipient from 2020, Aleksandrs Jegorovs, who studied Software Development at Cavan Institute. Aleksandrs is now completing his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Applications at Dublin City University (DCU) — a fantastic example of how further education can act as a strong foundation for degree-level study and long-term career progression.
His journey reflects the real impact that financial support and access to education can have for adult learners returning to study.
