Aoibhinn from Cootehill, Co Cavan attended St Aidans Comprehensive School, Cootehill.

"My name is Aoibhinn McPhillips and I studied Pre-University Law at Cavan Institute. After my Leaving Cert, I was unsure as to what I wanted to do. Law was always in the back of my mind which is why I choose Pre-University Law. Cavan Institute was a great asset as it taught me how to write assignments and it was my first experience of self-directed learning and the tutors were very helpful. The course also gave me the option to work, for example, I am now qualified to be a legal secretary.

The Pre-University Law course made me realise that Law was a road I definitely wanted to go down, especially after my work experience with a solicitor. I am now studying a Level 8 BA in English, Law and Business Management in Maynooth University."
