Leah from Swellan, Cavan attended Breifne College, Cavan and commenced the QQI Level 5 Make-up Artistry course in Cavan Institute in September 2019.

"In the year 2019 September, I studied Makeup Artistry in Cavan Institute and received my Fashion, Media and Theatre ITEC Diploma.

I loved this course and it was fun to do and I learned many new things throughout the year. I especially enjoyed doing Special Effects as I love doing special effects makeup looks and Halloween is my favourite time of the year. Another favourite element of the course for me was doing the 1920-1980’s period looks, as it was fun to do makeup and dress up my model and create an overall look. I made some good friends in my class and my tutor Patricia was very helpful and encouraging throughout the year. I am so glad I did this course as it was a great experience.
After completing my Makeup Artistry Course, in the Summer I started my own makeup and eyelash extensions business from home. I will be attending The Beauty Institute in Athlone to do a Facial Electrical Treatment course and also Brow Lamination and Lash Lift day courses throughout the year and I’m really exited for that!"
