Stephen Hughes from Lavey, Co Cavan previously worked in the building industry but during the economic downturn decided he needed to change his career path and started out on the Accounting Technician course in September 2013. In May 2015 he achieved his goal and passed his exams with distinction.

He is currently undertaking the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) accounting exams in Griffith College, Dublin. Stephen received a full-time contract with RP McEnroe & Co. Accountants, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan in January 2016 and he is now on his way to becoming a fully qualified accountant.
