After completing the course, it gave me a clear understanding of where and how to move further using the Higher Education Links Scheme (HELS). After much thought and deliberation around CAO time, I went the aviation route which brought me to where I am now.

after going to an open day in Cavan Institute, I got an insight into what I would be doing on the professional cookery course. The course helped me build my confidence in my cooking skills as well as my multitasking and organizational skills which are important for being a chef. The course also helped me as I completed 40 days of work experience in a hotel kitchen. This gave me an insight into how a professional kitchen was run and I would have never gotten this experience only for the course.

Completing both courses helped me build a strong foundation that assisted me in joining An Garda Síochána.

I chose to do the pre-university law course in Cavan Institute. It provided me with a great insight into the Irish law system. It provided me with practical skills that are required in the work place.

The Pre-University Law course made me realise that Law was a road I definitely wanted to go down, especially after my work experience with a solicitor.

The modules in this course include law modules such as business law and criminal law as well as business based subjects such as business administration skills.
