Entry Requirements
Students should have successfully completed an appropriate QQI Level 5 programme such as Computer-Aided Design (5M1940), Construction Technology (5M5010) or Design (5M2208). Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet this entry requirement but can demonstrate industry experience.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this course will have acquired the skills necessary to work in the modern furniture making industry. Potential employment opportunities include a range of areas within the furniture and wood manufacturing industries.
Progression
Graduates are eligible to apply through the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to a range of higher certificate and degree programmes at Higher Education Institutions. (Please check with the particular institution regarding local eligibility requirements).
