About This Course

The aim of this traineeship is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work as a Healthcare Worker, delivering person‑centred care across a range of healthcare settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The work‑experience component of the programme provides learners with the opportunity to apply theory to practice throughout the year, while also allowing employers to observe each student’s potential in the healthcare environment. The modules included focus on developing essential care skills, understanding client needs, promoting safe and hygienic practices, and supporting individuals across a range of physical, emotional, and rehabilitation needs.

Learners also explore areas such as mental health, palliative support, and personal effectiveness, helping them build the competence and confidence required to deliver compassionate person‑centred care.

Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP or QQI Level 4 Award.
