About This Course
Students are given the opportunity to identify the components of a computer and learn how they work. As part of this course, students will be required to assemble and disassemble a personal computer (PC), troubleshoot PC hardware and software problems, and build and maintain a peer-to-peer local area network. Throughout the course, there is a focus on the development of 'soft skills' such as problem solving, communication, and teamwork. All subjects are taught in a career-focused and interactive way.

Students will also be given the opportunity to prepare for and achieve certification in Cisco CCST (Cisco Certified Support Technician) Cybersecurity, Networking and IT Support exams (at no additional cost).

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP or QQI Level 4 Award. Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet these entry requirements.
