Entry Requirements
QQI level 5 award in Tourism with Business (or equivalent). Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet this entry requirement but can demonstrate industry experience.
Career Opportunities
Successful graduates of this course in Tourism with Business (Year 2) will be able to pursue careers as front office personnel in various areas, including retail travel, hotels, reservations, aviation, sales and customer service departments. Graduates will also be able to pursue employment as cabin crew and ground crew in the airline sector.
Progression
Graduates of this course in Tourism with Business (Year 2) are eligible to apply through the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to a range of higher certificate and degree programmes at Institutes of Technology and Universities (please check with the particular institution regarding local eligibility requirements).
Upon successful completion of the course, graduates are eligible to apply for a broad range of Level 8 degree programmes in Irish universities through the Higher Education Links Scheme. What follows here are examples of some of these progression routes:
