Course Overview
This four-week intermediate dog grooming course is tailored for those who’ve already completed Cavan Institute’s beginner course in dog grooming. It will allow you to advance from basic grooming to intermediate techniques. You will develop breed-specific styling skills for diverse coat types. You’ll also improve your handling and safety skills, developing a more in-depth knowledge of how to use the various tools in the dog grooming facility. This course is designed for those who want to be able to groom their own dog or are considering studying to become a professional groomer. You will build your confidence in using professional tools and applying finishing touches by working with a variety of breeds of dog. Students are encouraged to bring in their own dogs as models each evening.
