Course Overiew
This course is suited to a wide range of participants. If you have never painted, you will find a supportive teaching environment in which to learn the basics. And yet others who have painted for years are welcome to join the class to benefit from the support of a group and a teacher to reignite their creative practice.
You don't have to display any great artistic ability to join this class, simply an interest in exploring this painting medium in a fun, relaxed and encouraging environment. This is a step-by-step class taking the student from understanding their materials and how to use them, to producing various styles and themes of oil painting.
The fee listed does not include a list of materials required for class which will be emailed to participants in advance of the course start date.

How to set up your palette
How to mix paints, basic colour theory
Understanding shapes, light, perspective
Composition and the rule of thirds
How to apply and manipulate paint to suit your style
