Course Overview
This four-week evening course introduces the delicate and satisfying craft of paper quilling; rolling, shaping and arranging strips of paper to create intricate decorative designs. It’s the kind of craft that quietly pulls you in, involving simple materials, steady hands and a surprising amount of creativity.
You’ll learn the essential techniques needed to create both traditional and contemporary quilled designs. From tight coils and loose spirals to teardrops, scrolls and layered compositions, you’ll gradually build skills and confidence while creating your own decorative pieces.
The course blends demonstration, guided practice and design exploration. You’ll experiment with colour, pattern and composition, moving from structured exercises to a small personal project by the final session.
It’s relaxed, hands-on and a bit meditative! If you enjoy working with your hands and want a creative outlet that doesn’t need loads of equipment, this is right up your street.
