The Tourism, Business and Airline Studies course at Cavan Institute blends operational know-how with the organisational traits necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
A Practical Overview
This programme is structured to give you a broad perspective on how the travel industry functions. You will look at the customer journey from arrival to departure, gaining an understanding of how front-line offices and visitor centres operate.
Hands-On Learning: You will spend time off-site during a two-week vocational placement, allowing you to observe how businesses manage daily operations.
Industry Exposure: To help you connect theory with reality, the year includes organised excursions to locations of interest throughout the country.
International Perspective: There is an additional opportunity for a two-week Erasmus+ project based in an EU country, giving you a chance to see how different cultures manage their visitor offerings.

Logistics and Investment
We aim to keep our administrative requirements straightforward. The total cost for the year is €250, which covers both your tuition and the student services fee that grants you access to all campus facilities and academic resources. If you hold a valid medical card, your fee is reduced to €200.
